2023 Senior Superlatives Survey Now Live!

Attention, Class of 2023!

The yearbook staff has some questions for you! Who in your class do you think is most likely to become a star? Who’s changed the most since freshman year? The time has nearly come for you to tell us this and more—we’re depending on your responses to determine the yearbook’s 2023 Senior Superlatives!

The Senior Superlatives are annual recognitions that reflect the unique personalities and characteristics of the graduating class. Recipients are chosen based on votes submitted by seniors.

Help the Embers staff to ensure that the 2023 yearbook reflects its seniors accurately by casting your votes! The survey is now live and accessible from the “For Seniors” menu here on the yearbook website, amityembers.com. A link has also been posted in the Class of 2023 Google Classroom. The submission deadline is Friday, February 10.

Happy voting, and good luck! We can’t wait to see the results!

Senior Yearbook Profile Proofing Postponed (Say That Five Times Fast!)

Seniors, the second day of senior yearbook profile proofing has been rescheduled due to Wednesday’s unplanned early dismissal. It will now take place this Friday, February 3.

Please take this opportunity to view a proof of your senior profile as it will appear in the 2023 yearbook and confirm that the spelling of your name, your senior quote, and your list of activities are all accurate and complete. However, please note that this is NOT an opportunity to change your senior quote or add new information to your profile; rather, we are offering you an opportunity to confirm that your information is accurate.

You will not have another opportunity to request changes before we submit these pages to our publisher for printing.

2023 Senior Yearbook Questionnaire Now Live!

The 2023 senior yearbook questionnaire is now live HERE! You can also find it in the Class of 2023 Google Classroom.

This questionnaire provides you with an opportunity to share various information—which includes a list of all your activities, leadership roles, awards, and other accomplishments—with the yearbook staff. This information will then be featured in the yearbook alongside your senior portraits.

The questionnaire ALSO offers you the chance to vote for the recipient of this year’s yearbook dedication.

The questionnaire deadline is FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16. It is extremely important that all seniors complete this form on time; late submissions will not appear in the yearbook.

See Anoushka Paul, Elise Sheehe, Mr. Clark, or Mrs. Hulse with any questions.

“Last Chance” Senior Portraits Schedule

“Last Chance” senior portraits will be taken on Wednesday, October 19th, and Thursday, October 20th.

All students in need should have received appointment cards in their math classes this week. These indicate students’ appointment dates and times as well as provide additional information regarding their sittings. They also serve as students’ passes to leave their study hall, SSP, or class for their sittings.

The full schedule of appointments is also available here.

Please note that THERE IS NO CHARGE for these single-pose sittings. Please direct any questions to the yearbook advisors, Ken Clark and Vicki Hulse, at embers@amityschools.org.

Last Call for 2023 Senior Portraits

“Last Chance” senior portraits will be taken on Wednesday, October 19th and Thursday, October 20th. If you didn’t make an appointment over the summer, this will be the very last opportunity to have a portrait taken in time to be included in the yearbook. All students in need will receive appointment cards in the coming weeks. We want all our seniors to be in the yearbook, so please note that THERE IS NO CHARGE for this single-pose sitting. For multiple-pose sittings, please contact Robert Taylor Photography at (203) 377-0739 to schedule an appointment at the studio.
