The 2019 Embers Yearbook: “From Our Perspective” was revealed today to the graduating class of 2019 and dedicated to Mr. Christian Allard, ARHS English Teacher. Seniors were able to pick up their pre-ordered yearbooks today. The rest of the student body who pre-ordered yearbooks will be able to pick yearbooks up during lunch on Thursday and Friday or next week during exams in the library. The books are currently sold out. Please see Mr. Clark or Mrs. Hulse with any questions.
The yearbook staff is excited to have reached its sales goal for this year! The publisher may be able to provide us with additional books, but as there is no guarantee that they will be able to do that or how many they will be able to provide, the yearbook staff has started keeping a waiting list for those still interested in purchasing books. In order to get their name on the waiting list, students must see either Mr. Clark or Mrs. Hulse in person, and they must provide the full purchase price of $80, either in cash or by check (made out to ARHS). Students will be refunded if their requests are unable to be fulfilled after June 7th.
The class of 2019 class portrait, taken in November, is now available for purchase! These 24″ x 10″ prints cost just $25. To order yours, visit roberttaylorphotography.com, click “After Picture Day,” and then input gallery code “amityseniorgroup.” From there, input group photo PIN “amtsnrgrp19.” If you have any questions, please call Robert Taylor Photography at (203) 377-0739.

The 2019 yearbook dedication, distribution, and signing celebration will take place in the Paul D. Mengold gymnasium on Tuesday, June 4th, from 1:30-3:00. Seniors participating in the SSLP are invited back during the last session of the school day to take part in the event and are advised to make arrangements with their internship supervisors in advance; this school activity counts toward their internship hours. If students have not yet purchased a yearbook, they can do so at the event for $80.00 (cash only).
We’ll also be hosting our very first yearbook BLOWOUT SALE at the distribution event!
- Embers 2016 – $50
- Embers 2017 – $60
- Embers 2018 – $80
- Spartan Special – ALL THREE PAST EDITIONS for just $150 (that’s just $50 per book—what a bargain!)
Please note that this event is for seniors only; underclassmen will receive their yearbooks during lunch waves beginning the following day.
Are you creative? Do you like design, writing, or photography? Do you want to help capture and preserve the school year in a keepsake that you and your classmates will look back on for years to come? Embers is designed annually by a team of student staff members who work to complete a new edition from cover to cover. If you’re interested in joining our team, click here to apply today. Applications are due on Monday, May 13th. See Mr. Clark or Mrs. Hulse with any questions.
The yearbook staff has now filled all ad space for Embers 2019 and cannot accommodate any additional requests at this time. Thanks to all family, friends, and businesses who purchased ad space–we appreciate your support!
