Embers 2022 Distribution Details Announced!

At this morning’s senior breakfast event, editors-in-chief Molly Blair, Ryan Cohutt, and Ava DeMaio announced the Embers 2022 dedication and theme. Attendees also received a sneak preview of the cover design, dedication page, and theme description. You can see those previews for yourself below! Congratulations to Mr. Karl Wilson, to whom the 2022 book has been dedicated!

Senior portraits are a rite of passage that mark the transition from junior to senior status, and sessions for the Class of 2022 will begin in just a few short weeks!
Sessions will be held by appointment at Robert Taylor’s studio in Stratford beginning the last two weeks of June and throughout the summer. Students will make their own appointments and prepay for their sessions to secure their time slots. Full details and instructions are available here.
Attention, Class of 2022!
We’ve got some questions for you! Who in your class is most likely to brighten your day? Who’s changed the most since freshman year? The time has nearly come for you to tell us this and more—we’re depending on your responses to determine the yearbook’s 2022 Senior Superlatives!
The Senior Superlatives are annual recognitions that reflect the unique personalities and characteristics of the graduating class. Recipients are chosen based on votes submitted by seniors.
Help the Embers staff to ensure that the 2022 yearbook reflects its seniors accurately by casting your votes beginning TOMORROW! The survey will be live and accessible from the “For Seniors” menu here on the yearbook website from Friday, February 25, to Friday, March 11.
Seniors, please note that the senior questionnaire is now live here on the yearbook website. Please take this opportunity to share your activities, leadership roles, awards, and other accomplishments, which will then be featured in the yearbook alongside your senior portraits. Additionally, now that dedication nominations have closed and been reviewed, this questionnaire also offers you the chance to vote for the recipient of this year’s honoree from among the four finalists. The questionnaire is due on December 17th, which is the same day that baby photo submissions are due as well.
Portrait packages for students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will be distributed during SSP sessions on Monday, November 1st. Parents who ordered digital downloads should have already received their download codes via e-mail at this time. Download codes were sent from “The Image Connection.” If you ordered a digital download and haven’t received it, please check your spam folder.
Underclass photo makeup and retake sessions will be held in the senior lounge on Monday, November 8th. No appointments are necessary; students should drop in during their SSP session. Makeup sittings are free for any students who were absent on their original picture day in September, but there is a $5 fee for retakes; checks should be made out to Robert Taylor Photography. Students desiring retakes will also need to return their original photo packages, including all photos.

Ahead of next week’s underclass picture days on September 28th and 29th, parents can now order and prepay for prints of their children’s school pictures online. Click here for instructions.
The payment portal will be active until Wednesday, October 6th. After this date, Amity’s bulk order will be processed, and digital proof cards will be e-mailed to parents who did not place orders. These proof cards will feature a watermarked proof image along with the codes to order prints online. At that point, prices will be slightly higher, and orders will be shipped directly to families’ homes rather than to the school.
